Relief and Rehabilitation Activities among the Victims of Cyclone Amphan

On 16 May 2020, Cyclone Amphan hit the southern districts of Bangladesh. It caused extensive damage in the coastal areas especially in the district of Satkhira and Khulna. Immediately after the incident, CSDF collects information through its local representatives in the affected areas. After being verified the information with due process, CSDF extends its financial assistance to 350 families of Gabura, Padmapukur & Burigoalini unions of Shamnagar Upazila and Pratabnagar and Sriula unions of Asashuni Upazila under Khulna district; and Koyra Union of Koyra Upazila of Khulna district for reconstructing their houses.

Besides, CSDF is still continuing its fundraising campaigns to construct houses of 10 severely affected families. The estimated cost for constructing such a house is supposed to be BDT 60,000 (Sixty thousand). The construction of three (3) houses under this project has already been completed for its family members. Such assistance will be ensured to the remaining 7 families soonest subject to the receiving of the required fund from the donor like you, InshAllah. It is needed to plan for another project very soon to install deep tube wells for ensuring safe and pure drinking water in the affected areas.
